A lot of the recipes involve coconut flour or shredded coconut. First question, Does it add a coconut flavor or is it just for texture? (I have a severe aversion to coconut) Secondly, What else could I use instead of coconut to get the same effect? Maybe almond flour?
While I can smell the coconut smell in the flour, I don’t notice a coconut flavor in my baked goods. Coconut flour isn’t very expensive so you could experiment with it. I sometimes sub oat fiber in some recipes.
