For those of you doing the egg fast anytime in February, this thread is to get you started but feel free to start your own as well! I’ll be traveling a LOT this month but plan to egg fast 3 days at a time throughout the month. I’ll be checking in to see how you guys are doing and will try to post a few new egg fast recipes on the blog too!

I’m starting the egg fast on Monday! I have a feeling I’ll go a little overboard with the drinking and (keto friendly) snacks for the super bowl so I need a jump start on Monday to avoid the “well I ate bad yesterday, so my week is already shot” syndrome.

Starting today (1/31). The hubz is out of town so this is the perfect time for me to do this. Looking forward to trying the recipes, especially the caramel custard. Sounds yummo! One snack that fits into the “rules” is 1 oz brie or camembert smeared with 1 tsp butter. Sounds yucky, but it is so good and stops my cravings immediately.

I am on my 6th day of the fast. So far have had fried eggs for breakfast, egg drop soup for lunch and egg salad for supper. Today I made the Fetuccini Alfredo for lunch and the Buffalo Omelet for my evening meal. They were absolutely wonderful. I probably should have only done one of them in a day, but I think my body was craving FLAVOR.
So far in the 6 days I have lost 4.8#
Planning on eating eggs for breakfast and lunch and then low-carb snacks to get through the game.

Day 2. Woke up in deep purple keto. Wondered if that was okay. Then read the Fettuccini Alfredo recipe and saw that you too were in deep keto while on the egg fast. Felt a bit light headed so drank water with a little sea salt. Presto! No more lightheadedness. Tons of energy so I’m off for a 5 mile walk along the beach trail. Plan on having egg salad for lunch and buffalo omelet for dinner. So happy to have your recipes! Thank you so much for sharing with us!!!!!!!

You guys are doing great! Not sure why I can’t comment to your specific replies in this thread but I’ll look at the format and see if I can figure it out going forward! Feel free to start your own threads here in the egg fast forum, then we can all reply to you individually in the meantime! I will be traveling to NY all day tomorrow and once we’re settled into our rental I plan to do another three day egg fast too! Stayed on lchf during super bowl which is great, but scale still hasn’t budge in three days which is super annoying! Can’t wait to hear about your progress this week – especially you first timers!

I started today. Had 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast with my coffee, coconut oil , sweeterner and butter. (was suprised on the coffee mixture – tasted good)
I had my egg salad (2 eggs & Tim Noakes homem ade mayo) for lucnh, although I must say I was not that hungry, but ate it anyway
I had a cup of black coffee with 2 sweeterns at about 10:00 – Not sure if that is a good think? I jsut soooo miss my coffee.
Someone on FB commented that the sweetener might slow down weightloss? Is that true?
I so want to lose a couple of KG’s. I am from SA, so I struggle to get all the ingredients you have…but will manage..

OK, a bit off plan yesterday at friends for the Super Bowl. Back to basics today. I think I need to limit the amount of cheese I have for a day. Maybe only 1-2 oz and not every day. I don’t think my body likes cheese, or maybe it likes it a little too much.
Up not quite 2# today. I know it is water weight, but maddening anyway.

Day 4 today. I didn’t have eggs for dinner last night but stayed very very low carb – it just didn’t work into the meal plan to share with others. No matter, still dark purple ketostix this morning. Once I’m done with the egg fast I’ll try to add more carbs to get a lighter color – no need to be in such deep ketosis. I wasn’t hungry this morning so just had bulletproof coffee and a string cheese. Walked 3-1/2 miles and now at lunchtime I’m having a buffalo omelet. Can I just say how yummy it is? Oh, I was also down 1 lb this morning for a total of 6 lbs in the 2-1/2 weeks I’ve been doing lchf. I have tons and tons of energy and my fitbit is showing 10,000 steps a day without much extra effort on my part. I just want to move I feel so good (I’m 56 BTW). So yeah, this is working for me finally after 10 years of steady slow weight gain. I’m getting closer to rockin’ my LBD at a wedding on 2/15!

Well done Leslie!!!
I am on day 3 today. So far lost 2.2kg! I am SO HAPPY so far!!! I LOVE EF!!!!
Really not so bad at all! I would however love a piece of meat right now.
Just a quick question. We do not have ketostix testing kits her in South Africa.
How will I know when I am in ketosis?

Would it be OK to add the oopsi atkin rolls to the fast? I was thinking about an egg and cheese mcmuffin thingy….or is the cream of tartar a problem?? Thought a “bread-like” bun might cure my nausea from the fats…never been able to handle greasy-oily textures.
