$5.00 $2.50 !!!!!
So I’ve been kicking the idea of launching a low carb and gluten free online magazine (aka. e-zine) around for awhile. I’ve been doing some work behind the scenes, and finally decided to get started with it – or at least a very light version of one.
This first issue is just recipes to start, but I’m lining up contributors to write articles on health, fitness, lifestyle, and other subjects that are relevant to people who follow a low carb and/or gluten free eating plan. Celiacs, Diabetics, Keto, Paleo – we’ll try to have a little something for everyone!
I’ll divulge more details as we get them worked out, but for now, let’s focus on this issue, which contains “25 Recipes that Celebrate Summer!”
Within these virtual pages are contained every recipe you could possibly need to make it through the Summer with your diet intact! Complete with an intro, a pantry section, and a table of contents with hyperlinks, navigating around these recipes will be a walk in the park! And of course, each recipe includes nutrition information to assist you in budgeting your calories, carbs, fat and/or protein!
I really think these are some of my best low carb and gluten free recipes to date! These recipes are unique to this publication and won’t be featured on the blog or in another book – so get them while you can! I’ve even included some cocktails to help you get your sip on, for little to no carbs per serving! No matter what the occasion, we’ve got you covered!

I just now purchased. Downloaded the pdf. and when I try to open it I get an error msg. I will try this at home tonight and see if the result is the same ..it says I can only try five times, sohopefully it is a prob on my end or with my browser or my adobe or something ??
error reads:
There was an error opening this document. The file was damaged and could not be repaired.
Mellissa Sevigny says
Trisha that shouldn’t have happened! Are you downloading to an ipad? Sometimes they don’t play well with ejunkie downloads for some reason. I have your email and I’m going to send you the file directly. Please make sure to let me know if you get it and can open it! Thanks!
Trisha Woolever says
No. Just IE, but at work :) So who knows. Got it. Thanks for just a fast response and just resolving it directly for me !
Mellissa Sevigny says
No problem Trisha, hope you enjoy the recipes! Thanks!!!!!

Just downloaded the book and looking it over – recipes look very yummy! My comment so far is that one recipe calls for using a cookie recipe on your blog as a base, which is no big deal. BUT, it is included as a link, so if I’m making that recipe, I don’t have all the info in one place. I have to link to another site. Not a huge deal breaker, but its all electronic – it would have been easier to just include the recipe instead of linking to it. It is one of the recipes I want to try, so that’s one of the reasons I’m pointing that out. Looks really tasty though!!
Mellissa Sevigny says
Thanks for purchasing the e-zine, and for the feedback! I was conflicted about linking to the recipe for just the reason you mentioned (two separate places) but for the sake of space and having all the recipes in the actual e-zine be original and not from the blog, I did it anyway. I’m still not sure it was the right decision. I’ll make sure to keep that in mind for future issues though! Hope it’s not too inconvenient when you’re making it! Appreciate it Theresa! :)

I can’t find a link to download the Summer Recipes e-zine? They look yummy!
Mellissa Sevigny says
There should be a visible “add to cart” button at the top and bottom of the post. Let me know if it’s not visible to you and what browser you are in – there may be an issue that I have to resolve. If so I’ll send you an email link – let me know and thanks! :)
Alice says
Ok, that explains it! I was in IE, no “Add to cart”. Switched to Chrome, it’s totally there. Ordering now. :-D
Anna says
I can’t find a link or button to order I Breathe I Am Hungry, could you send me a link? Thank you so much!
Mellissa Sevigny says
If you are viewing in Internet Explorer there appears to be a problem with the buttons. Try in a different browser if possible and they should be there, if not, I will be happy to send you a link!
Deb says
Thanks Melissa for the quick response. I want to get this….but how? I can’t find a link or “DOWNLOAD” button. I would have assumed that maybe it is not ready yet but the previous commenter (Pat) said she already downloaded it.
Mellissa Sevigny says
Hey Deb, this got lost in my spam folder and I just found it so not sure if you were able to download it at this point. There should be visible “add to cart” buttons at the top and bottom of the page. If they aren’t visible then it could be an issue with your browser. Someone reporting not seeing them while in Internet Explorer, but that they were there in Chrome. I hope this helps, meanwhile I’ll try to figure out a fix on my end. Thanks!
Deb says
Thanks…I read the other comment and tried in Firefox…it shows up there. Must be a problem with IE. Just got it! :)
Deb says
I just purchased “The Gluten Free Low Carber” and I am loving the recipes (and exquisite photos.) Is there much overlap in recipes with the new e-zine?
Mellissa Sevigny says
Thanks Deb! And no, the 25 recipes in the e-zine are completely new and are not available on the blog or in The Gluten Free Low Carber! A fact I should have made clear in the post originally – thanks to your feedback I updated it to say that so thank you!
I hope you enjoy the recipes! :)
Pat says
Downloaded this immediately and love it, love it, love it. The beautiful photographs, illustrations, and easy-to-read format is perfect. I love the TOC and entire layout is gorgeous. We don’t want to just read; the photographs make my mouth water. Also having a consolidated grouping of complementary recipes in one easy spot to find and enjoy is time-saving. Now which to choose to make first. – I’m heading to the beach for a 2 week stay, so I think I’ll start with the wonderful drinks then invite friends over for happy hour plus an elegant dinner one night. This was an ingenious idea and I hope you do one for each season of the year, fall, winter, and spring. Thanks so much. After I downloaded this, I uploaded it to my documents folder on Google “drive”. I love having my important documents location independent. I’ll even be able to read this on my Kindle via Google “Drive”. Love it!
Mellissa Sevigny says
Thank you so, SO much for taking the time to comment Pat! Your feedback means a lot! I am definitely planning to have at least one issue per season! I haven’t tested it on Google drive but I know it views great on my tablet with the free Adobe reader download, so try that if you have any trouble with it on your Kindle! Thanks again!

Congrats….it looks awesome!

Thanks for keeping Hungry Jr. entertained while I worked long days on it! ;) XO

Curious about the sweetener you use in your drink recipes and dessert recipes before I purchase this cookbook. I have an aversion to all artificial sweeteners…So must of the time, to watch carbs I have to cut all sweets and drinks in general. Thanks!!
Mellissa Sevigny says
I have an entire page devoted to sweeteners in the pantry section Janette! I use the generic term sweetener in all the recipes and it measures equivalant to sugar so that you can use the exact amount of real sugar or whatever alternative sweetener you prefer for that amount of sugar. I even provide links to conversion tables of some of the more popular low carb sweeteners for people to figure out how much of each they would need. I hope that makes sense, it’s explained in greater detail in the book. Hope you like it!
