I wanted to name this beefy masterpiece the Ultimate Keto Dude Burger, but decided on Keto Sheet Pan Burgers with Bacon and Jalapeño, because the Google search algorithm lacks creativity and rewards super boring but descriptive titles. Boo hiss. Whatever you want to call it, this delicious keto bunless burger is so amazing that you won’t miss the bread at all!

Can we all just take a minute and appreciate that a) keto sheet pan meals are life right now, and b) this keto sheet pan burger recipe proves that you don’t need a grill or a lot of hand’s on cooking time to be indulging that burger craving.
Seriously though – when I decided to try this idea out, even I was skeptical. Who wants a baked burger? No grill marks, no smoky charred flavor, not even second rate pan sear for flavor? I had understandable concerns that this keto sheet pan burger concept would be an epic fail. Or at the very least a ho hum throw away.

I’m happy to report that these keto sheet pan burgers are LEGIT. The bacon grease spreads and soaks into the jalapeños and onions, giving them extra flavor and lusciousness. The patties themselves are simply seasoned and juicy – the perfect canvas for the bold flavors of the jalapeño, pepper jack cheese, onions and bacon.
The jalapeños caramelized a bit and got crisp around the edges, which I loved. You’ll notice in true dude burger style, there is no tomato, no fru-fru avocado or girly arugula – just nutritionally defunct iceberg lettuce, and dill pickles (which are optional) for a little crunch. Minimum veggies, maximum meat and cheese, lots of bold, spicy, flavor.
Just the way Mr. Hungry likes it.

Gorgeous and flavorful on their own, what makes these keto sheet pan burgers truly craveable is that sauce. So easy to make, but so very, very delicious.
Creamy, tangy, spicy, sweet – it’s everything you ever wanted in a keto burger sauce. And if you love it as much as I do, you’ll find other ways to use it too – on chicken, on salads, even drizzled over broccoli or cauliflower. It makes so many things taste better! You’ll see.

There is so little commitment involved in these keto sheet pan burgers that I just know you’re going to want to try them! And once you taste them you’ll want to put them in the regular rotation! Especially since this one is easily customized to everybody’s preference within the family, and it’s a no brainer to do buns for those that want them and no buns for those that don’t!
If you want to keep it keto but still have the bun – try my Keto HOP Burger Buns with it!

As a side point, leftovers refrigerate just fine as separate components and reheat well in the microwave (not the sauce or lettuce obvi) for about 1 minute on high. I ate them two days in a row crumbled up with extra lettuce as a warm salad and it was just as tasty as on day one when I ate it burger style as shown.

Keto Sheet Pan Burgers with Bacon & Jalapeño
- Total Time: 28 minutes
- Yield: 4 servings 1x
Description
A Keto sheet pan burger recipe that is easy to make and loaded with bold flavors. You’ll want to make this one over and over again! Atkins, low carb, Keto, gluten free, nut free.
Ingredients
For the burger patties:
- 24 ounces ground beef (80/20 chuck is best)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt (reduce to 3/4 tsp if using table salt)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
For the toppings:
- 6 slices raw bacon, cut in half
- 4 slices of onion (about 1/4 inch thick)
- 2 jalapeños, seeded and sliced into rings
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
For the sauce:
- 1/4 cup real mayonnaise (I prefer Hellman’s or Dukes for store-bought)
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha hot sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon granulated erythritol sweetener (I use Swerve)
Serve over iceberg lettuce with dill pickle chips if desired
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425° F.
- Combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a medium bowl and mix well with your hands.
- Form into 4 patties of about equal size and place on a large baking sheet.
- Place the bacon, onion rings, and jalapeño slices on the same baking sheet.
- Bake for 18 minutes.
- Meanwhile, combine the mayonnaise, Sriracha, Worcestershire sauce, and sweetener and stir well until smooth. Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Remove sheet pan from the oven after 18 minutes and place one slice of cheese on each burger patty.
- Set oven to broil on high.
- Return pan to the oven and broil for 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven.
- Build each burger with 1 patty, 3 pieces of bacon, 1 slice onion, desired amount of jalapeños and a generous drizzle of sauce (shown with optional lettuce and pickles.)
- Serve warm.

Made this recipe with turkey burgers. It is as Melissa says…legit! I can only imagine how much more delicious it would be with ground beef. The sauce, amazing…the iceberg lettuce really makes it, the crunchy texture is perfect.
I have not been disappointment by any recipe from your cookbook or this site. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!!

So tasty & moist, these have become a must-have, especially through the winter months when BBQing isn’t very easy… I love making a double batch to have some in the freezer for a quick & yummy lunch or dinner. My go-to burger recipe! Family loves them and the sauce is amazing. Sometimes I just use frozen burgers for a quick meal (not sure if that’s Keto-friendly check ingredients) but they turn out great.
★★★★★
Barbara says
This is my first time doing keto (in five weeks), a friend sent this to me and I made it for dinner. I was screaming for joy, because I have another recipe to add to my rotation AND another site to check out. Everything was great, LOVE the sauce which really took the whole burger up a notch. I added more sriracha because I love spicy food. This is a great recipe and very simple! Thank you!

So happy you enjoyed this recipe Barbara, and I hope you enjoy more recipes here on IBIH just as much! Thanks for taking the time to rate and comment on the recipe!

Absolutely amazing! I decided just to cut the Jalapeno and onion fine with mushrooms and mixed it in with the mince. The sauce is amazing. So happy I made it – thank you!

Made these for the first time tonight and they were amazing! I will definitely be adding these to the menu again. I would recommend checking a few minutes early as my bacon was super crispy. I took that off the pan and tossed the onions and jalapeños in the drippings before broiling. Perfection!

Great recipe!
Just a heads up that if you prefer medium rare burgers & soft bacon, you have to decrease the heat or bake time.
★★★★★
Linda says
My burgers always turn out too dry. I will try turning down the heat. I take them out before the onions are done. I am thinking of adding an egg to the meat. Any thoughts?
Christina Swan says
Hello Linda, I find that using an 80/20 ground beef gives better results than a leaner ground beef ratio. Maybe try that?
Amy Kim says
Made this for The first time today and can I just say sheet pan dinner for the win 🙏these were amazing and so easy! I added buns for my kiddos and wrapped mine in iceberg lettuce ! this is going in my rotation

Arch says
Hi, I really want to try these burgers, but I don’t eat beef. Has anyone tried them with ground Turkey? And any advice to make any changes with turkey? Thank you 😊
Mellissa Sevigny says
Turkey would work fine, might be a little drier than beef.
Karen Smithberg says
This was so good and easy! Everything cooked at the same time, one pan, throw away the foil, done! Genius!!!!
Linda says
Did you preheat your oven? Maybe your pan was too small to spread everything out. flatten the meat out a bit so it isn’t too thick.
Bianca says
This method was horrible. Even after nearly 30 minutes in the oven, both the bacon and the burgers were only half cooked. This was the biggest waste of time on a busy week night.
Mellissa Sevigny says
You must have a big issue with your oven then, because there is no way a burger this size is going to be half raw at 30 minutes in a 425 degree oven.
Jessica says
I first had this recipe when I did the SCKC and my husband and I love it so much that it’s become a staple in our house. We love spicy food and the jalapeños just make this recipe!

I just started the SCKC diet. I was a little skeptical, because I love a good cheeseburger. I made this and I don’t even miss the cheese. I can’t imagine what the sauce would taste like without the sweetener, but who cares. You don’t need it. I have loved every one of your recipes, but this one is now my favorite.

This burger is AMAZING! I was having major cravings today and after eating this it satisfied every craving. I’ve been using a lot of your recipies and even bought your cook book. Everything I’ve had has been so delicious but this burger is the best (so far). I’ve been on keto for 4 weeks now, I’m down 16 lbs and I feel better and more energetic than I’ve felt in a while. My husband is curious about trying keto with me but he just cant give up his nesquik chocolate milk🙄. If you have any recipies that could help me out with that, itd be awesome 😉Thank you for all of the deliciousness.

No chocolate milk recipe unfortunately but you should be able to do something with almond milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, and the sweetener of your choice and come up with something passable! Glad the burgers were a hit and satisfied your cravings!
Audrey says
Love this! My personal Modifications:
—put bacon in the oven first, while forming burger patties, for 3-5 minutes.
—start 2nd sheet pan of fries for NON-keto folks + chopped broccoli
—making patties: make them over flat with a gradual divot in the middle so they won’t “ball up.” Use marinade brush to brush bacon grease over the whole sheet before putting patties down.
—Add burgers, toppings, then cook for 13 minutes.
—Pull out sheet, scoot toppings over and crack 1 egg per person, as desired onto sheet. Sprinkle brown sugar on NON-keto folks’ bacon slices.
—cook 3 minutes, add cheese slices to burgers, then broil 2 minutes.
❤️❤️❤️

How about pressing meat mixture into a small sheet type pan ( meatloaf style but
thinner) vs patties. Then baking , top with cheese and cutting into squares. Like a Wendy’s burger. A quick easy way to feed a crowd.
IE: Super Bowl.

Denise says
On a spice level of 1-10, I like a 0, if possible. So, I was a bit hesitant about these, with all the spicy stuff in them. I ended up with 7 burgers, 4 of which I used cheddar on, since I have 3 kids who also don’t really like spicy. I was surprised to find that I really preferred the pepper jack versions the best, WITH the jalapeno’s included. They had just a bit of kick to make it interesting, but not enough to make me chug water or have to fan my mouth. :) I made them as written, with the exception of 1 1/2-ing everything due to feeding more than 4 people, though, I did still make each burger approx. 6 oz each since that seems to be the size the recipe calls for. My burgers ended up being about 5″ round and about 3/4″ high. 18 minutes was actually a touch too long (we like our burgers medium), and I ended up having to finish the bacon in a frying pan since they were only about half cooked in that time. Wasn’t a big deal for me enough to dock this any stars. I didn’t have any sriracha sauce, but I DID have a sriracha mayo! I used that instead and the sauce turned out nice. I completely forgot about serving it with pickles. Regardless, everyone in my family had at least one, and everyone liked them.

These were amazing–had them with a cauli-tabbouleh salad. The only thing I would change is to put the burgers in 10 minutes ahead of everything else. To get the burger darker and maybe a bit browned. My burger patties were larger to begin with…. Keep up the amazing recipes!!

Absolutely FIRE. This won huge points for me. I have a big family and this makes burgers so easy! I’m in love with the sliced onion and jalapenos cooked in the meat oils. Wow! Awesome flavor. I often cook up 3 or 4 lbs of ground beef at a time into crumbles in my wok for burger salad when everyone is home, and adding a pan of just bacon, onion and jalapenos to the oven was an awesome compliment. I’ve been following you for a long time. Thank you so much for the very practical recipes!!

Marcella Rice says
I know we like to have a lot of fat on the KETO diet ; however, I read that if not eating organic meat we should buy low fat burger meat as all the poisons get stored in the fat–so the lower your burger fat the healthier. (one can always add Kerrygold butter to the burger after it is cooked!)
★★★★★
Mellissa Sevigny says
Just so you know Kerrygold is in a lawsuit for false claims because their cows are not grass fed apparently. ?♀️
Sharon says
These are so full of flavor and simple to make that they’ve become a staple in our house, definitely on the regular rotation and everyone’s favorite. I’m the only person in the house doing keto, but everyone else adores them too. Layers upon layers of flavor and so fun and easy to make and easy clean up too. I wish I could give these more than 5 stars. These burgers are what all other burgers hope they’ll grow up to be one day. I like to make sure to use thick cut bacon so there is plenty of fat to melt around the burgers and veggies and I make an extra pan of onions and peppers and bacon so I can put it all in the fridge to add to scrambled eggs the next morning. Two 5 star meals in one shot. Can’t beat that.
★★★★★

These were amazing, and amazingly easy! We used 85/15 ground turkey, added a bit of the Worcestershire and green onion into the meat mixture. The sauce is fantastic, we didn’t add any sweetener and it still tasted great! Thanks so much for this recipe! This is a keeper in our rotation for sure
