This Keto Shrimp Cocktail with 3 Sauces takes the classic shrimp cocktail appetizer of the 90’s to the next level! Sweet, succulent shrimp with your choice of any or all of these 3 keto friendly dipping sauces that can be made in advance in just minutes? What’s not to like about that?
I LOVE SHRIMP. There. I said it. There is nothing not awesome about shrimp as far as I’m concerned! Hot or cold, I love the texture and the subtle flavor, not to mention they are adorable and with the tails left on they make the perfect finger food with a built in handle, amiright?
For those of you that are allergic to shellfish, I am truly sorry you won’t be able to indulge in this recipe. That being said, these dipping sauces work great for so many things that you can use them as a dip for veggies or even chicken tenders.
Sometimes Mr. Hungry and I will eat a pile of cold shrimp with these dipping sauces for dinner with nothing else. Other times I’ll make a salad and then pile a bunch of cooked shrimp on top and drizzle it with the spicy Sriracha dipping sauce as a dressing.
Most often though, I find myself making this keto shrimp cocktail for friends to nosh on as an appetizer, or when we pack a cooler and head out on the boat to to go fishing or to our favorite secluded beach on a neighboring island. This Keto Shrimp Cocktail with 3 sauces is the perfect beach picnic food!
Assuming all of that is enough to get you fully on board with this keto shrimp cocktail idea – now let’s talk about the sauces.
First we’ve got your classic cocktail style sauce with lots of tangy horseradish – but without the carbs and sugar you’ll usually find. Since there is not a lot of fat in shrimp, or the cocktail sauce, be sure to use this one the most sparingly of the three – or be sure to have a fatty side to go along with it to keep your keto macros on point with fat being prominent and protein less so.
The second sauce is more keto friendly as it’s a pesto mayonnaise containing lots of fat. Luscious and loaded with flavor, this is my favorite sauce of the three for cold shrimp or even lobster – it also works great mixed with chopped cooked chicken to make an easy chicken salad. Super versatile, if you’re a fan of basil pesto then you’ll love this one.
The third sauce is also mayonnaise based, but a bit thinner in consistency and with a sweet and spicy kick from the Sriracha hot sauce. I love this one as a salad dressing, but it complements the sweet shrimp perfectly as well. Also a perfect dipping sauce for crispy chicken tenders or fish sticks, a version of this recipe can also be found in my cookbook, Keto for Life (as can my recipe for pecan crusted chicken tenders that I pair it with – SO GOOD.)
So whether you’re headed to the beach, hanging out by the pool, or just looking for an easy keto appetizer, lunch or dinner recipe that you can make in just minutes, this keto shrimp cocktail with 3 sauces is going to be a winner on all counts!

Shrimp cocktail is one of my favorite apps, I love the variety of keto-friendly sauces!

Loved the pesto mayo and the sriracha sauce.
For the cocktail sauce, is 3 tablespoons of prepared horseradish a typo? Maybe it should be 3 tsp? I love horseradish but found 3 tbls painful. Otherwise, it’s a solid recipe.

I am fairly certain the 3 tablespoons is a typo for the cocktail sauce. My wife has been making this for years and only uses 1 tablespoon. All other measurements seem to be spot on. I love this cocktail sauce!

How long do the sauces last in the fridge?
Mellissa Sevigny says
I would say 3 – 5 days no problem, a week might be pushing it flavor-wise.

These would be great for my NYE party. Serving cold and grilled shrimp so I can let everyone sample different sauces that are healthy too
