These are the 10 best keto bread recipes out there based on actual reviews and comments from people who have made them. Some are quick and easy, while others are a little more challenging. The list also includes some nut-free and egg-free keto bread recipes, and even low carb bread made in the bread machine! 🍞

Finding the best keto bread recipes online can be a real challenge, primarily because you have to weed through a lot of bad ones to find the few truly good ones. Google is constantly working to improve their algorithm to show you the best keto recipes at the top of the search results, but they don’t always get it right yet. 🧐
Just because someone puts a keto bread recipe on the internet with the word “best” in the title doesn’t really make it the best, does it?
So if you can’t trust the title to identify a keto bread recipe as the best, then…
How DO you find the best keto bread recipe?
- First Step – Read the reviews of the people who have made the recipe. Typically they will provide the most honest and objective assessment of the quality of a recipe. That being said, some bad reviews are put out there by people that didn’t actually follow the recipe as written – and the flip side is that if every single review is 5 stars, it’s possible the creator is deleting all of the negative ones. Generally though, if a keto bread recipe has a lot of positive reviews and only a couple of negative ones, then it’s a good indicator that the keto bread is going to turn out well for you.
- Second Step – Scan the ingredients list and instructions. This is an important step because the best keto bread recipe for someone else, may not be the best one for you – based on how much time you have, your sensitivity to ingredients, and your skill level.
- Third Step – Be realistic about your ability to execute a recipe. Consider how much time you have on your hands and what your abilities in the kitchen are. If you’re a novice cook you may want to start with an easier recipe like my Keto HOP bread that doesn’t require separating eggs and whipping your whites with a mixer into stiff peaks. Or if you’re super busy, you may want to opt for a 90 second bread, or one of the recipes with a 30 minute bake time.
Important questions to ask yourself before you start making any recipe:
- Do I have all of the equipment that this recipe requires to execute it correctly?
- Am I allergic to or intolerant of any of the ingredients in this keto bread recipe?
- Do I have all of the ingredients to make this recipe, or can I source them easily online?
- Do I have the time to make this particular keto bread recipe?
- Am I skilled enough to execute this recipe so that it will turn out well for me?
With all of the above questions and criteria in mind, I have provided some information about each of the keto bread recipes below to help you see which might be a good fit for you.
For each keto bread recipe linked below you will find:
- Star rating and number of reviews
- Photo of the finished recipe
- Pros and cons of the recipe as they relate to the questions above

Melissa thank you for all the hard work you do to help those of us who follow the low carb or keto way of life . You truly are dedicated to what you do and thank you isn’t enough . The format is fine. I would suggest that you add the King Arthur keto flour bread. I live a mile high and it is the best recipe for me so far. The others that you posted look great, but fail miserably at altitude. Lots of us live above sea level. ;-D

I love this setup. I’ve learned a lot reading the beginning of the article. And the info you provided has allowed me to yea or nay some of these recipes just by the info you provide. I often times read through an article and note at the end that the carb count is too costly for me or I don’t have access to one or more of the ingredients or don’t have a piece of equipment needed. That would be a nice piece of info need when you review. With this format you’ve done the work that takes up so much of my time. I’ve watched so many videos and ready so many recipes and articles that I often run them together. AND one issue that I see often, especially when reading reviews, is the picture that accompanies the recipe looks too good to be true and it often is a regular and not a keto version of the recipe. But we don’t find out till we’ve wasted money and time to make the item.
Mellissa Sevigny says
Thanks for this detailed response Teresa, it will help me moving forward when writing more of these posts. In the past I’ve just put the photo and link, maybe a short blurb – but I’ve learned from experience (and sometimes can tell just by reading a recipe) that many recipes with beautiful photos just don’t turn out. And while you don’t want to think that websites are using non keto products to make the photos look more legit, I know that it does occasionally happen. Since I personally go straight to the reviews when trying (or buying) something new, I figured it would be a good starting point for a post like this one. I guess time will tell, but so far it seems to be working. 🤷🏼♀️ Thanks again for weighing in!
