This is the final week in the 12 week Keto menu plan series that I originally intended to create – it feels like yesterday when we started, doesn’t it??? I will continue to post menu plans, some for special dietary needs in the coming weeks as I have time. I’m also hoping to get back on track with Meatball Mondays, which I’m looking forward to!
I’m literally in the final hours of finishing the Spring Ezine, so I’m going to keep this short and get back to it! Have a great weekend Peeps!!

Prep List
Notes: Depending on your schedule you may find it easier to make everything on the weekend and reheat throughout the week – all of these dishes reheat well in that case. Otherwise you may choose to make some of the dishes on the weekend and others as needed throughout the week – that’s totally up to you.
[fancy_numbers variation=”slategrey”]
- Assemble and bake your Sausage & Spinach Frittata and cut into four inch squares for the week. You will need 5 servings, leaving 7 servings to freeze or share.
- Make 1 batch of the Cream Cheese Pancakes and divide into 2 servings of 2 pancakes each. You will use both servings this week.
- Cook the entire pound of bacon and store in the fridge until needed for breakfast or lunch as called for.
- Make your Simple Egg Salad. You will use all of it this week.
- Cook the Cuban Pot Roast (you won’t need it until Day 3) and set aside 4 one cup portions for the week. There will be approximately 6 portions left to freeze or share.
- Make your Caprese Meatballs and divide into 4 servings of 4 each. You will need all four serving this week.
- Cook your spaghetti squash and portion out three 1/2 cup servings. Freeze or share the rest.
- If you don’t have any frozen Keto Marinara leftover (or any sugar free jarred marinara), then make a fresh batch of the Keto Marinara. Reserve 1 cup for the week and freeze the rest.

Thanks for all this hard work! I really appreciate it!

I just discovered your blog- a treasure trove of information! Thank you for sharing all your hard work and research. My husband and I are new to the low carb way of eating, but had unconsciously done a variation when he discovered he was gluten intolerant about 2 years ago. He noticed the weight dropping off. In the time since this discovery, he’s started slowly introducing gluten back into his diet, and the weight has crept back on. We have done our best on our own to eat LCHF for the last two weeks, and he told me this morning that his head feels clearer and he feels much better health wise. I have joined him on this journey (kicking and screaming all the way because I love my breads!!) to be supportive (as well as one can with a grumpy attitude about it all). Since I found your blog, my attitude has greatly improved since I understand why and how this all works. You have taken the guess work out of menu planning and made my life a lot simpler. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you, not only for sharing the menu plans, but for the kick in the seat of my pants to do it well and to do it right!!
Saber says
I startstart week 12 tomorrow. I am down 20lbs since starting.
cara says
I see where the question was asked but not seeing an answer? I apologize if I am missing it.
How much have people lost completing the 12 weeks?
Just curious as I just finished the three day Keto kick start and now starting day 1 -week 1 and I am starting it in Ketosis! YAY!
This really is a great site- wish I found it sooner. MUCH sooner! :)
Mellissa Sevigny says
It’s different for everyone Cara so it’s impossible to say how much you would lose. I’ve had people email me that they’ve lost as much as 40-50 pounds in the 12 weeks but that is usually men with a lot to lose. Thirty is definitely doable for a woman if you’re really strict though!
Cara says
Oh yes..i am aware everyone is different. I was just curious! Thank you so much!:)
Jennifer says
I also started the bullet proof coffe and LOVE it!
Jennifer says
I was curious to know how much the average person who followed all 12 weeks lost over the course of the diet. I have seen a few weight loss updates in each post but no overall loss and am curious. Iam gluten free and soy free which can be very difficult and keto seems to be the way to go as I have had more success with this than other diets which limit fat so intensly thatI end cheating with wheat filled items and am generally miserable as a result. I did the 3 day keto kickstart and will continue on. Thank you for all the wonderful recipes and time you put into this ?
Cheri S says
I lost 91 lbs in 6 months. I changed my macros to maintain that weight and kept it off the past year. If I had known eating fat makes you lose fat, I would have cut out carbs a long, long time ago.
Lily says
Hi Melissa,
I just found your blog today, and I can´t believe how much amazing info you have on here. I have been doing pretty low carb for a while, but am thinking to go full keto again. Since you´ve done this for a while, have you noticed when you just start if your skin gets really bad? I tried keto for 2 wees before and my skin broke out so bad, I had to go back to eating more carbs just to clear it out. Is this a side effect that will subside in time? Thanks for all your recipes and hard work, I will definitely put them to work :)
Mellissa Sevigny says
Some people have breakouts initially which could be from detox and they subside over time. Not sure if that’s what was going on with you though – you might want to try searching the reddit keto forum to see if anyone else has any experience or remedies for this!
Cedric Chin says
Very late reply, but I noticed my acne *decreasing* with low carb. We already know that carbs increase your insulin levels, which is not good for overall health, and insulin is a contributor to acne! When I went low carb, my skin became less oily and acne decreased. I don’t know Lily’s particular case, but I hope the meal planning worked out.
Rebecca says
These plans look amazing! I had a question after looking at some recipes. The sausage spinach frittata…how do I cut 12 four inch squares (5 to use, 7 left over) out of a 13 by 9 pan?
Mellissa Sevigny says
Thanks Rebecca! Sorry, the squares will be about four inches by three inches! 3 cuts the long way and 2 cuts the short way should give you 12 pieces. Thanks for catching that!
Heidi says
Thank you for your generosity of sharing such an amazing plan with all of us FOR FREE! You clearly spent a lot of time on this and I wanted to let you know I really appreciate it. There are other blogs out there who sell meal plans but won’t show any as a guideline — for those of us out here who can’t spend hundreds of dollars on a meal plan this is such a blessing to get on track!
Mellissa Sevigny says
You’re so welcome Heidi! I’m glad it’s helping you! :)

Can you please let me know the Vegan keto diet menu Plan. I need to loose 20+ pounds. I couldn’t really find good vegan plan.
thanks

Tasty! I love the pot roast!
Marissa says
I just came across your website and wow! Such a great resource! My husband and I have been trying to get the hang of Keto for a few weeks now with a 30 day plan but they did so much fasting (fasting until the evening and consuming all your macros within 5 hours) that it’s been difficult for us to stick to it. We plan on starting your week 1 on Sunday but I had a question. On your grocery lists for these plans, is that food for one person or two? I just need to know if I’m doubling the grocery list or not.
Marilyn Ketterling says
Hi Marissa,
I’m fairly new to this site as well, ( in week 2), and I found out the hard way this is for 1 person. Now every time I start a new week, I count the times a dish will be served and adjust my shopping list and recipe for two. My husband has joined me in this journey as well. Good luck….to both of us!
Cristina says
Also later on, I think week 7, she starts posting how many servings are there, so you know which recipes to double… this whole thing is super helpful! and so glad someone else is doing the thinking and leg work for me!
Pat says
Your 12 weeks of menus and recipes have been wonderful. I’ve downloaded each week and will always have a resource to get back on track. In fact, I lost my way somewhere in the middle and stopped losing, but have recently re-committed making a few changes (smaller portions, less cheese and nuts) and can happily report I am on the losing track again once again. There is no straight road to success, at least in my world. But I’m putting the stall behind me and starting fresh and your menus will always be there to help me.
Thanks for all the time and effort you put into this on behalf of your loyal readers. So looking forward to your Spring e-zine to complete my collection.
Pat says
PS on my comments above. By “smaller portions; less cheese and nuts” I mean I was exceeding Melissa’s recommendations. I can’t seem to stop myself w/ nuts or cheese so those items can’t be a daily item for me. And my 1/2 cup was sometimes way more generous.
Just want people to know the error was all mine and not in Melissa’s menus.
